Devlog 1
Welcome to the first devlog of the first game under Aethercorp name. The game is a grid like adventure game where you play as a slime and fight monsters, solve puzzle, beat bosses and gain abilities. The models are made in Goxel while the game itself is made in Unity. This Game will be fully release in May 2025.
This is the first look into the game with the interact system and shop system. You get coins dropped by fighting monsters which you can use on travelling merchant to upgrade your health and Attack or heal. There's going to be regional currency which can be found in hidden areas to earn hats or bonus hearts.
This is just the basic concept for the world map showing the four worlds that you'll explore. Each one will have 5 levels and one boss but each world will have exclusive mechanics which you must wait and see but an early prototype will be release of the forest level will be released to see what this game will come with.
Here's the hero of the story will look like. Slowly gaining powers after beating each bosses. The ones we have in mind is Slime Shot, you shoot a projectile with the cost of your health but the enemy will be slimed once slimed you can hit the enemy to gain the health back. The one you get from the fire boss is called meteor which the slime jumps high into the sky to deal big AOE damage to surrounding enemies. This can break big rocks, branches, melt ice as well. The one from the ice boss is an ice shield that once broken it does AOE knockback.
For the enemies they all fall into 4 classes. Tank, they hold a shield that block damage so the player must look of it's weak spots to deal damage. The Elemental are beings made of the element of the area, they have range attack which give status effects. The Ranger has a range attack which is fast to avoid. Then there are normal with no special with them. Other classes was planned but depends on time since this is an one man team.
Now what's next, I should have a prototype ready to be release, a main menu and hopefully a boss ready to fight/try out. But mainly I’ll be focusing on fixing and refining the enemy AI but I would think once it’s up to standards the next would be the Beast Town to understand the current situation between Beast and Man and why the Beast are labelled just as the Monsters you fought. Here’s a sneak peek on the guardian of the Forest who was wounded by the remnants of the old war and those made it easy to corrupt the guardian when the uprising begins as you see it fragmented only connected be an unknown power.
